Freely Given Retreats

From the Organizer:

Giving ourselves the opportunity to walk in silence with others in the spacious surrounds of the natural world, is time well spent. Not just regulating our nervous systems, but a conscious retreat from the enchantments of the marketplace, into recognising the world as the vast and beautiful Cathedral that it really is.

Freely Given Retreats  is the host of this event. Please contact them with any questions.

The Buddhist Peace and Conflict Chaplaincy program (PACC; pronounced like pax) draws on foundational Buddhist teachings and practices to uncover the innate potential of the human heart to foster peace within and without. Participants will intimately explore the role of a Buddhist Peace Chaplain – a spiritual caregiver who is dedicated to the flourishing of peace and supports those enmeshed in conflict with clarity, kindness, and impartiality.

Multi-Site Action During Buddhist Action Month

What is our Buddhist response to the ruin of land and ecosystems resulting from our modern extractivist human-centric culture? What can we as contemplative practitioners do to pacify and restore our local places and landscapes? We invite you to join our multi-site action during Buddhist Action Month (with a discussion/guidance meeting on Tuesday June 2nd).
