From Personal Calling to Collective Power

Online
Join Kaira Jewel Lingo for an exploration of how Buddhist practice can guide us toward climate action that is rooted in clarity, care, and steadiness rather than urgency alone. Drawing on Movement Ecology and the ‘Block, Build, Be’ framework, we will reflect on where our skills, joy, and the world’s needs meet.
CS is a three-month immersion in Buddhist wisdom, meditation, community building and nature connection for 18-25 year olds. It’s a contemplative laboratory where we learn and practice the roots of peace we believe are needed now more than ever in this time of political, ecological and social turmoil.

During the five day retreat we will spend four full days of mindful work volunteering in the tree nursery and planting areas of Moor Trees. The middle day we will immerse in silent and still meditation practice. This retreat is a chance for us to offer our compassionate care to our living planet.

With Dr. Jeanine Canty

During this two-hour webinar session, we will engage in lecture, practice, and experiential exercise that support widening our circles for collective liberation.

With Geoff Shōun O’Keeffe, Zen Peacemakers Executive Director

Online
The 3 Tenets of Zen Peacemakers: Not-Knowing, Bearing Witness, and Taking Action. Our third tenet is taking loving action from not knowing and bearing witness. This vow makes Zen Peacemakers unique. This is how we engage and reach out with helping hands to relieve suffering in our troubled world. Please join us to share your work, your project, and your own taking action with others. This circle will be held monthly in 2026.

Acting in the World

Online
In this training, we look at how we make sense of the world in order to act in it. Story and narrative will be at the core of the exploration, both as a way of understanding and sense-making and as an activator of creative imaginations that take us beyond what we see around us; also in relation to the "more-than-human" realms.

On Behalf Of Our Collective

Online
This program with offers a unique and deep journey into deep embodied listening as a way of life. How we listen is how we perceive. Our capacity to see with the heart - and respond skillfully and courageously - stems from the quality with which we listen, within and out, to ourselves, each other, and the natural world. There are personal, interpersonal, transpersonal, societal, ecological, and mystical implications to this way of listening. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, until January 15, 2026.

Writing a New Story of Human Nature

Online
Join us for a personal conversation with Michael Nagler – a pioneer in the field of Peace and Conflict studies who has dedicated his life to the values of nonviolence and spiritual discovery. Together we will explore the significance of nonviolence for the times we are living through and what it might mean to write a new story of human nature guided by the principles of nonviolence. This dialogue between Michael Nagler and Kerstin Deibert is part of the Buddhist Peace & Conflict Chaplaincy Speaker Series.
