Weekly Buddhist Vigils for Oak Flat

Online
Every Wednesday until January 7 Guardians of the Sacred will be dedicated to the protection of Oak Flat. Oak Flat, Chi’chil Biłdagoteel, is a sacred site for the Western Apache people in Arizona. It is currently in grave danger of being turned over to an international copper mining company.

Facilitated by Jeff Wagner

We invite you not just to talk about the future, but to join us there. We will spend the day dreaming, drawing, drafting delightful designs, and discussing the dramatic distance between our present world and the near future we will be visiting. You can expect the workshop to be active, fun, and engaging—it’s part reflection, part visioning, part theater game, part grief, and part radical hope.

With Roshi Joan Halifax, and Senseis Kodo Roen and Dainin Lau

Online
Join us in the continued commitment to social and environmental engagement and justice in this very complex time, to exploring the roots of structural violence in our social systems, and to engaging in the world in a courageous way based on contemplative practice and views that actualize non-separateness, interbeing, equity, compassion, justice, integrity, courage, dignity, and unshakable awareness.
