We live on a sacred earth. For people of faith, the implications of this are clear. We will honor our sacred trust as earth’s guardians. We will increase our collective sense of urgency. We will persevere in our journey from ignorance to knowledge and from silence to action.Rev. Fletcher Harper
From the Organizers
From Climate Week NYC:
Climate Week NYC is the largest annual climate event of its kind, bringing together some 400 events and activities across the City of New York – in person, hybrid and online. Each year, business leaders, political change makers, local decision takers and civil society representatives of all ages and backgrounds, from all over the world, gather to drive the transition, speed up progress, and champion change that is already happening.
Climate Week NYC is hosted by Climate Group, an international non-profit whose purpose is to drive climate action, fast. Climate Group hosts the official program during the week that brings together the most senior international figures from business, government, civil society and the climate sector.
This year Climate Week NYC will be held from September 17-24, 2023. The event takes place every year in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York.
From March to End Fossil Fuels:
Join us at the march to end fossil fuels on September 17th in NYC.
The United Nations is calling on world leaders to take real steps to lead us off fossil fuels to protect people and the planet. On September 20th in New York, the UN Climate Ambition Summit will gather world leaders to commit to phasing out fossil fuels.
Thousands of us will take to the streets before the summit to demand President Biden take bold action to end fossil fuels.
