We are living through the death throes of a world built on extraction—of land, labor, and spirit. Late-stage colonial capitalism, with its rapacious greed and plundering, is driving ecological collapse and human suffering. Yet, within this unraveling lies an invitation: to awaken beyond fear and paralysis, into a radical, embodied presence that refuses to turn away.
How do we meet this moment—not as passive witnesses, but as committed, compassionate agents of the possible? How do we metabolize rage and grief into clarity and action? Drawing on Buddhist teachings, deep ecology, and engaged practice, this session will explore the Dharma as a path of resilience and resistance. Through meditation, inquiry, and reflection, we will root ourselves in the wisdom needed to disrupt and reimagine while honoring the dying, opening to the unknown, and listening for what endures.
