I am a poet and educator. I am a founding member of Women Included, a transnational feminist network. I have been part of the local sangha for a decade. We meet every week to discuss buddhist teachings as well as other spiritual books. I also lead a chanting group, and have taught chanting to kids for many years.

I have been offering writing workshops to breast cancer patients for the last few years. I use writing and chanting to heal. Plus yantra drawing practice.

I wish to understand how I can care for the earth despite living in a society where I am dependent on material goods that use up the earth’s resources. I also want to know how to communicate the connection between violence to the earth as violence to women and marginalized groups.

My organization Women included would benefit. My students in college would benefit greatly from material from this course.

Yes, I am familiar with zoom. I will miss a couple of classes due to prior commitments.

I know them from my sangha in Setauket, Long Island. In addition to meditation sessions, we have met during anti-racist sangha meetings. They are very committed to the readings and activist work.
