Forest Teachings I

What the River Knows

Hosted by

Natural Dharma Fellowship

From the Organizer:

Join Lama Liz for the first of four explorations of teachings from the natural world or what we might call “Dharma with a capital D.” This is the same truth the Buddha taught, but learning to listen from the source awakens deep memories beyond the thinking mind, helping us to return again and again to the source of who we really are.

Natural Dharma Fellowship  is the host of this event. Please contact them with any questions.

The Sun Is Setting on Federal Solar Incentives

Online
The recent passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” (OB3) rapidly phases out solar tax benefits and adds new restrictions for houses of worship and other nonprofits who want to go solar. An executive order signed shortly after the OB3’s passage could place further restrictions on solar project viability. Despite the challenges, we’ve charted a path forward that enables houses of worship to achieve their clean energy goals — if they act now.

With Lama Willa Blythe Baker, Bill Morgan and Susan Morgan

With exercises and self-reflection, we will begin to explore the impediments to freedom, how we avoid, suppress and distract ourselves from the roots of our suffering. We will then consider the psychological and mindful work required to find freedom and joy in our life and practice. Hybrid retreat.
