Meeting the Spirit of our Times with Steadiness and Love

Hosted by

Barre Center for Buddhist Studies

From the Organizer:

In this program led by Dawn Scott and Rupert Marques, we will call on the four establishments of mindfulness as a refuge and guide, helping us to metabolize the collective violence and ecological wounding that moves through our hearts, bodies, and beloved planet.

Barre Center for Buddhist Studies  is the host of this event. Please contact them with any questions.

With Vanessa Andreotti and Dougald Hine

Online
Please join Dougald, Vanessa, and Post Carbon Institute’s Asher Miller, for a free 90-minute live, online conversation to explore the promise and consequences of modernity, the implications of its decline, and how we – individually and collectively – hospice what is dying and give care to what may emerge.

With Anne Cushman

During these times of ecological crisis, we must set aside time for ourselves and for our community to connect outdoors. Women identifying participants are welcome to participate in this silent Vipassana meditation and yoga retreat rooted in nature. Spend much of each day in nature, practicing meditation and gentle guided yoga (trauma sensitive and accessible for all bodies). This retreat is dana based.

Caring for Inner and Outer Turmoil

Online
In this gathering, Kaira Jewel Lingo offers wisdom and practices to help us ground in steadiness when crisis and confusion threaten to unseat us. Drawing from her extensive spiritual training, including 15 years as a nun in the Plum Village Zen tradition, she guides us in discovering what lies beneath reactivity—both within and between us—and responding with authenticity.
