49th Day Memorial Ceremony for Dr. Larry Ward

You are invited to join the Macy family in a celebration of Joanna’s life. This event will be an evening of music, poetry and teachings. We will move through the four phases of the Spiral of the Work That Reconnects: Coming From Gratitude, Honoring Our Pain for the World, Seeing With New Eyes, and Going Forth as we honor Joanna’s legacy of activism and deep ecology. Grounded in the idea that Buddhist ethics calls on us to mitigate and adapt to climate change, the GALA program, freely offered on a dāna basis, will share practices, conceptual frameworks, and workshops to support participants in mindful and skillful engagement in a world with a rapidly changing climate.

The FOUR FIELDS are a contemplative, ecological, and socio-political teaching on the embodiment of wakefulness. One Sunday a month. We will practice and attune to the Four Fields. No background knowledge or experience needed. Join us!
