Join Sarah Augustine, Executive Director of the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery and Bhikkhu Vasu Bandhu, Buddhist monk and Interfaith Manager at Arizona Faith Network for a timely conversation about the destructive and ongoing impacts of colonization in the Americas.

This space is open for reflecting on and expressing grief, despair, or other emotions related to the recent devastating hurricanes in the Southeast U.S. and the raging wildfires in California.

During this retreat honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we will practice insight meditation while interweaving the teachings of the Buddha with those of Dr. King. With mindfulness and clarity, we will cultivate the capacity to liberate our minds and hearts so that we might better learn to do our own work in service of collective liberation and respond appropriately with wise, compassionate action in the world.
