In the midst of large-scale ecological harm and injustice, how might we cultivate resilience and an open heart? And how might connecting to unconditional joy strengthen our engaged practice?

One Earth Sangha offers monthly EcoDharma Explorations. In this gathering on June 19, James Baraz led an investigation of grief, joy, inspiration, and how we can energize our engaged practice in the midst of ecological suffering.

James Baraz

James Baraz has been teaching meditation since 1978. He is a co-founding teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation Center. James started the Community Dharma Leader program, the Kalyana Mitta Network, the Spirit Rock Family Program and other programs. James is a core teaching team member of Spirit Rock’s ETCP EcoDharma Transformational Culture Program. James has been leading the online course “Awakening Joy” since 2003. He serves as a guiding teacher to One Earth Sangha. James co-authored Awakening Joy and Awakening Joy for Kids.
