A Buddhist Reading of Octavia Butler

A Conversation with Dr. Jessica Zu

event

Hosted by

Rima Vesely-Flad

From the Organizer:

This conversation series brings Black and Asian-American Buddhist scholars and practitioners together for honest dialogue about what it means to practice Buddhism in America today. These conversation partners aim to create bridges and ask nuanced questions — about ancestral practices and culture, about appropriation and erasure, and about what it means to evolve the Buddhist tradition to meet the current moment.

Rima Vesely-Flad  is the host of this event. Please contact them with any questions.

Community Care Teams Information Session

As part of Healing Democracy work with the Movement Chaplain’s Network, MNIPL is helping communities of faith, conscience, and spiritual or religious practice across the state become safe places of connection and groundedness before, during, and after the election. We are hosting one more training/community conversation about these Community Care Teams. During this time you will learn about what it takes to activate a care team during this election season and we’ll lean into how these care teams can bring life and purpose to your faith community.
