Nature’s Pure Awareness
Date(s) - Sep 15, 2016 - Sep 18, 2016
Wonderwell Mountain Refuge
The Natural Dharma Fellowship community invites you to this retreat, in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, this September.
In this retreat, enter into and engage with the innate power of the natural world to support and develop our ability to rest in natural mind. Using our five senses and a range of different meditation practices, we learn to increase the recognition of our deep interconnectedness with the environment. Through recognizing and enhancing this experiential understanding, we discover how the natural world supports awareness as well as how immersion in natural beauty works to heal us.
This retreat is a Buddhist meditation retreat open to anyone with basic meditation experience and a love of the natural world. The retreat will observe Noble Silence. We will spend the days in the mountains and forests of northern NH, rain or shine, while returning to Wonderwell in the evening for dinner, formal meditation, and sleep. Practices will combine sitting meditation with walking, movement, and other special practices informed by the environment. NDF teachers, Liz Monson and Bob Morrison, will guide and teach. GreenFaith fellow, Dan Gilner, will help facilitate logistical support, organizational structure, and communications.
