Restoring True Health for Ourselves and Our Planet

Through the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and practices of the Plum Village tradition, our intention is to support attendees’ mindfulness practices that not only fortify their resolve to address the planetary crisis but also nurture their personal well-being and happiness.

Faith Climate Action Week

Online
Faith Climate Action Week is IPL’s annual program of climate-themed worship services and sermons that spans ten days of activities celebrating Earth Month. The week is IPL’s premier event to create a mass movement of people of faith and conscience preaching, teaching, and acting to heal the climate.

Inspiring Buddhist Wisdom for Compassionate Climate Action

Online
Please join us for a three-day virtual gathering focused on the intersection of Dharma and the climate crisis. Insights will be offered by leading Buddhist teachers and practitioners who are also writers, artists, and advocates engaged in climate action.

With Kathleen Rude

In this weekend workshop, we will create a supportive community where we can ground ourselves in gratitude, honor our pain for the world, reconnect to active hope, strengthen our resilience, and find clarity around how we can play a part in healing our communities and our planet.

With Kate Johnson

Online
Sacred Evening Sangha is a 4-week online Buddhist meditation immersion in restorative heart practices, with the intention of fortifying your care and resting in it at the end of each day. I created this container for people working toward collective liberation: teachers, artists, organizers, activists, healers, caregivers, storytellers, responders – all of us who are encountering, interrupting and transforming suffering at whatever scale we find it.

Touching the Earth

Online
Speakers at Tricycle’s Third Annual Buddhism and Ecology Summit include Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche on the earth-touching mudra, Kaira Jewel Lingo on a mindfulness practice from Plum Village’s Earth Holder Community, Jack Kornfield on how to sit like a tree, and many more.

Everything Changes; Everything is Connected; Pay Attention

Online
Jane Hirshfield and Geoff Shōun O'Keeffe will be talking about the Three Tenets, the way poems carry the values of right speech in their marrow, right action in the realms of both biosphere and social compact, and compassionate attention as the ground of change.

An Animal Blessing

Online
Led by Kaira Jewel Lingo, Adam Bucko, Larry Ward, and Peggy Ward, we'll share wisdom from our animal friends, while exploring our reciprocity and interconnectedness with the natural world as a whole.
This year we plan on walking the grounds of a deep history in the expansion of slavery, Jim Crow, and the Civil Rights movement – Selma and Montgomery. We intend our Plunge in Alabama to be personal and transformative, with attendees coming away with an emotional and heart connection with the people, places, and events we witness.
