From the Organizer:

Intent & Purpose: Several environmental groups in our region are having meaningful successes in adaptation and mitigation to the effects of climate change. The purpose of this “planning forum” is simply to explore the prospect of a collaborative network of organizations, affinity groups, and individuals to enhance what is already being done in the region and to foster additional actions.

Participants (partial list): Representatives and individuals associated with local climate smart committees, local environmental management councils, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Berkshire Environmental Action Team, Columbia Land Conservancy, Basilica Green, and Buddhist Action Coalition.

Outcome: It is anticipated that this “planning forum” will be a precursor to other planning forums (August/September?) so as to further explore collaboration, identify actions, and foster networks and affinity groups.

Buddhist Action Coalition NYC  is the host of this event. Please contact them with any questions.
