One Earth Action:

A Global Hour of Practice

This is perfect for us.

If there is one community that explores the power of individual acts connected with others, that values the practice of renunciation, if there is one community that sees the potential of being present for hour in the dark, that community is ours!

Let’s join the world in Earth Hour, 2016!

It’s easy to take part. On Saturday, 19 March 2016 at 8:30 p.m. wherever you are, all you have to do is turn off the lights for an hour. What you do next is up to you!

Perhaps you’ll gather with a big group for candle-lit conversation about the hard truths and powerful opportunities of climate change. Maybe you’ll mix Metta practice and mindful dialogue with close friends or family exploring the generosity embedded in renunciation. Or you might undertake a longer personal sit to connect with that which, amidst climate change, does not change.

And over the next few days, for those who love social media, you might choose to engage your network by “switching on your social power” in advance of Earth Hour.

No matter what path you choose, we invite you to join us in this global moment of renouncing electricity.

How will you practice this Earth Hour?
